UNIPA News (Jakarta). May 5, 2026. The younger generation is an agent of change. They are the pillars of the nation, especially in advancing the role of Youth and sports. Southeast Asia (ASEAN) have a role model and talented young people to become diplomats in the field of sports.
The 2026 Ministerial Meeting on Youth and Sport was initiated by the Indonesian Minister of Sports, Mr. Erick Thohir, and leaders in Southeast Asia (ASEAN).The progress of the world of sport is in the hands of young people. They should receive special attention and training in managing and developing the economic and sports sectors held on May 4, 2026. This was carried out to strengthen cooperation in the Southeast Asia region (ASEAN). Discussing issues that occur among teenagers, namely mental health, job opportunities, entrepreneurship, digital skills and youth empowerment and sports.
Young people are expected to make contributions that continue to develop, perspective and expectations in thinking and taking action. Therefore, the policies presented must be formed together with young people who represent the aspirations, challenges and potential of the youth.
Sports and health are now growing into sectors with economic value that drive the growth of the sports industry, the development of the ecosystem and sport tourism such as the Tour de Singkarak 2027.
Optimism, responsibility and never giving up must be cultivated and practiced. Leaders and diplomats in the field of Sports and youth must continue to develop and strive to advance and strengthen the role of youth and build an inclusive and sustainable future in the region. Always believe in and face challenges, and show the results of your hard work in championing the world of sports. We salute and are proud of the youth and the world of sports.
