UNIPA News(Padang)-15 March,2026: The city government of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia has been holding a Ramadhan Islamic boarding school since February 22 – March 15, 2026.
This religious activity is required by the Ministry of Religion.
Minister of Religion Dr. Nassaruddin Umar said that religious activities must be carried out to strengthen the faith and piety of students during the month of Ramadan.
On March 14, 2026 Padang Mayor Fadly Amran closed the Ramadhan Excitement of Ramadhan Islamic Boarding School in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia at the Ganting Grand Mosque.
All participants of this Ramadhan Islamic Boarding School are from 4th grade of Elementary School, Junior High School and Senior High School.
All participants were given encouragement by giving cash prizes and Umrah prizes worth 25 million rupiah.
These religious activities are controlled and guided by their Religious teachers and Al Qur’an trainers.
This activity was complemented by a quiz competition. All participants at the Ramadhan Islamic Boarding School thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning about religion and reading and writing the Quran.
They all share their experiences in translating the Qur’an and praying in congregation.
Learning Outcomes of Usul Fiqh, Adab, Morals, Islamic History, Science of the Pen, Worship Practices and Translation of the Qur’an also tested in “Ramadan Celebration”.
This religious activity really trains the mental and discipline of the Ramadhan Islamic Boarding School participants.
This is very touching for the parents of the students. They witnessed their children succeed through Religious training. They become more disciplined in worship and school.
