UNIPA News, Jakarta, Indonesia. On 17 March, 2026- Indonesian Ambassador to India Fadli Zon and his team received a visit from a team of temple restoration experts from India along with the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia, Sandeep Chakravorty.
The delegates came to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the restoration of Prambanan Temple.
This meeting is a follow-up to the talks between President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
They agreed to renovate Prambanan Temple which is located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Because Prambanan Temple is the largest temple for Trimurti, namely the Three Gods, Brahma (God of Creation), Vishnu (God of Protection), and Shiva (God of Destruction, as Cosmic Balance).
The Prambanan Temple area is specifically designated as 47 meters high and equipped with Archa Shiva 3 meters high.
UNESCO has designated Prambanan Temple as the most beautiful cultural heritage temple of the Indonesian nation in the world.
As the young generation who will continue the nation, we are obliged to protect and maintain the Prambanan Temple building for the sake of the nation’s and the world’s cultural heritage.
Hopefully this great plan will be realized soon.
