Book Curation Phase is where Starbucks employees choose, select, collect and present books to be given or donated. They select based on criteria such as quality, added value and facilitating access to quality reading, reading that is still suitable, the book cover and the contents of the book are still good, still can read.
Books that are still good and fulfil the content criteria, Received. Ready to be neatly packed in a cardboard box. Then, cardboard boxes containing children’s books, teen books, Sherlock Holmes novels, and Indonesian romantic novels were sent by special car to the Aceh and North Sumatra areas.
Concern for the need for books in Indonesia, we must appreciate and be proud of it. 20 thousand books have been collected. Concern to Children’s education and entertainment, Star Bucks is very helpful to the government in campaigning for the movement to care about books and children.
Through the Save the Children Indonesia Foundation (@savechildren_id) Aceh and Jakarta. The curation and handover of donated books was held simultaneously in Jakarta, Medan, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Bali together with Starbucks and volunteers from Save the Children Indonesia.
