The United States embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have announced temporary closures following drone attacks allegedly launched by Iran, as regional tensions continue to intensify.

According to official statements issued Tuesday, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has suspended all consular services, including both routine and emergency appointments. A “stay-at-home” advisory remains in place for diplomatic staff stationed in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran. American citizens in the Kingdom have been advised to avoid visiting embassy premises until further notice.

In Kuwait City, the U.S. Embassy similarly confirmed it will remain closed “until further notice,” with all consular appointments canceled due to what officials described as rapidly escalating regional security concerns.

Diplomatic sources indicate that both missions were targeted Monday by Iranian drone strikes. While the attacks reportedly caused minor structural damage, no casualties were reported.

The incidents come amid an expanding military confrontation involving the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other. Tehran has continued launching missiles and drones toward Gulf states in response to U.S.–Israeli strikes targeting sites inside Iran since Saturday.

The situation remains fluid, with regional governments closely monitoring developments as diplomatic and security measures are reinforced across the Gulf.
