Port-au-Prince, Haiti – July 2, 2026 — During the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Haitian government approved a series of appointments affecting several key public institutions and diplomatic missions.
Among the major appointments, Walter Gabellus was named Director General of the General Administration of Customs (AGD), replacing Gérald Ramplais. Patrick Norzeus was appointed Director General of SEMANAH, while Job Pierre became Deputy Director General of the National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA).
In the diplomatic service, Guy Lamothe was appointed Ambassador of Haiti to Chile, and Antonio Rodrigue was named Ambassador of Haiti to Canada.
The Cabinet also appointed Goethie Varnelle Morency as Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), replacing Hans Joseph.
Additionally, Lucien Jura has been appointed Minister Delegate and Secretary of State for Communication, strengthening the government’s communication and public information strategy.
These appointments are part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen public administration and improve the effectiveness of state institutions.
