The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Pétion-Ville Innovation organized a conference on May 2 focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and artificial intelligence in a context of limited resources.
Held in Pétion-Ville, the event brought together entrepreneurs, students, and professionals to discuss the opportunities artificial intelligence offers for developing innovative projects despite economic and technological constraints.
During the discussions, several speakers emphasized the rapid evolution of AI and its growing influence across nearly every sector. “Every four to five months, artificial intelligence systems become more powerful,” one speaker noted, highlighting the speed at which this technology is transforming work methods and business models.
Participants also stressed that despite its enormous potential, some people still underestimate the strategic importance of artificial intelligence, often viewing it as a secondary tool rather than a true engine for competitiveness, productivity, and growth.
Through this initiative, JCI Pétion-Ville aims to raise greater awareness among Haiti’s young entrepreneurs about the need to embrace emerging technologies in order to remain competitive in an increasingly fast-changing global environment.
