London 1 June (Unipa News)The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir has won the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent, becoming the first choir in the programme’s history to claim the title. The group secured the public vote in the grand final and will receive a £250,000 cash prize along with an opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
Following the result, Jeremy Clarkson, who helped assemble and support the choir through his association with the farming community, described the victory as “the best thing ever.” Speaking in a video shared by judge Simon Cowell, Clarkson said he had been genuinely nervous during the final performance but remained confident the group could succeed despite concerns about their chances.
Clarkson praised the choir’s commitment and hard work, thanking Cowell for giving them the opportunity to compete on the programme.
Simon Cowell also welcomed the outcome, stating that the choir deserved the victory. He congratulated both the winners and fellow finalists and thanked viewers for supporting the series.
After being announced as winners, choir member Katryna Shell dedicated the achievement to the farming community. She used the moment to encourage people facing difficulties to seek support and speak openly about their struggles.
Ahead of the final performance, members of the choir described Clarkson as their “biggest cheerleader” and expressed gratitude for his backing throughout the competition.
Judge KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, praised the choir’s original song, This Is Home, and said he intended to add it to his Spotify playlist. Cowell admitted he had initially questioned the decision to perform an original composition in the final but later said the choice had “paid off,” describing the performance as “absolutely stunning,” “heartfelt,” and “joyous.” Fellow judge Amanda Holden was visibly emotional during the act.
Drone display team Celestial finished in second place with a pre-recorded performance recreating memorable moments from previous series of Britain’s Got Talent, while dog act Anastasiia and Salsa secured third place.
