UNIPA News (Padang). May 2, 2026. Mrs. Hj. Maizarnis often called Bu “Je”. She is the wife of the deceased Mr.H. Amran Sutan Sidi SuSutan laiman. They are the founders of Baiturrahmah Foundation.

Bu “Je” got the leadership spirit, diligent, friendly and entrepreneurial nature from her biological mother. She call her “One”. She is good at selling.

She and her husband founded the Baiturrahmah Foundation in 1970. They both developed Kindergarden (TK) Baiturrahmah, Elementary school (SD), Junior High school (SMP), Senior High school (SMA) Baiturrahmah until Baiturrahmah University in 1974.

She also founded the Sitti Rahmah Hospital which is located on the edge of the city. She developing Community Health Centers (PUSKESMAS) for underprivileged people to be healthy.

Baiturrahmah University offers 12 programs, the most popular of which is the Faculty of General Doctor, and Faculty of Dentistry.

Mrs. Hj. Maizarnis teaches the assistants to arrange the room, arrange flowers and cook for the patients. She is a humble figure.

Hj. Maizarnis’s children are:
🔶Mr. Fadly Amran, MBA as Mayor of Padang.
🔶 Wahyu Amran and Ikhsan Amran as Doctor specialist.
🔶 Irvan Amran as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Padang City.
🔶 Afdal, Rahma dan Rahmi serving in the world of education and health.

She is a role model and charismatic mother for her children. She is a good wife and always helps her husband in all situations. Her services and dedication to West Sumatra and the city of Padang in the world of education and health received a Standing Applause and two thumbs up. Mrs. Hj. Maizarnis and her services will be remembered forever. She and her husband are a couple goals in world of health and Education.
