Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé officially welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah Zeid of Jordan, Senior Special Adviser to the World Food Programme (WFP/PAM), during an official humanitarian mission to Haiti.
This high-level visit comes at a critical moment as Haiti continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis marked by escalating insecurity, widespread displacement, food shortages, and limited access to essential services. Princess Sarah Zeid’s mission aims to assess urgent humanitarian needs and strengthen international cooperation in support of vulnerable Haitian communities.
Discussions between the Haitian government and the World Food Programme focused on food security, emergency assistance for internally displaced families, and strategies to improve humanitarian access in areas heavily affected by armed violence.
The visit also reflects continued international concern over the deteriorating living conditions in Haiti, where thousands of families remain exposed to hunger, instability, and social abandonment.
According to official sources, this mission reinforces the commitment of international partners to support Haiti during one of the most difficult periods in its recent history.
