UNIPA News (Jakarta). May 8, 2026. The domestic company Mitra Aviasi Perkasa (MAP) purchased this particular aircraft for flight research and training. This company is engaged in aviation training education in Indonesia.

A historic moment occurred with the agreement to purchase the N219 aircraft by a private company for commercial flights. On May 5, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Vice of Minister of Bappenas Mr. Febrianto Alphyanto Ruddyart.

This is a new milestone in the history of the domestic aerospace industry. PTDI’s main director, Gita Amperiawan, explained that the scope of the contract includes 4 aircraft units N219. Contains cargo configuration and accessories. Includes training, technical publications, and effective contact information.

Gita confirmed that this contract was the first contract for the N219 for the four aircrafts for commercial market for $36.1 Billion. This is the world’s greatest technological advancement. Indonesia is very proud of the expertise and ingenuity of its young people in assembling airplanes.
