UNIPA News (Jakarta). April 20, 2026. The BULOG Warehouse Complex in Danurejo was visited by the President of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, on April 19, 2026. This visit was to directly ensure the future food supply of the Indonesian people.
Responsibility for monitoring food supplies, including rice. The president’s efforts to safeguard the economy and ensure the public’s survival.
This isn’t just about collecting data on what files are available and how many. There must be no shortage of the amount distributed to traditional and modern markets.
The quality of available rice must be maintained. Rice must be stored properly. Storage areas must be clean and well-maintained to ensure the health of Indonesians.
Rice distribution must be targeted. It shouldn’t be given solely to the wealthy, large wholesalers, and traders. Prioritize the needs of the poor and underprivileged.
Indonesia’s food security amidst geopolitical dynamics must remain strong and stable.
This is all a real manifestation of the Indonesian Government’s commitment. That the state is always present, protecting, safeguarding, and ensuring that the people’s basic needs are met. There should be no distinction between rich and poor when it comes to accessing good-quality rice for consumption. B
