UNIPA News(Nigeria) 20 March-Nigerian troops have recovered detailed operational notebooks from slain ISWAP fighters in Mallam Fatori, Borno State, revealing the group’s structured planning and internal administration.
The documents, captured after a failed ISWAP a$$ault on military positions that resulted in heavy terr0rist casualties, include lists of fighters mobilized for attacks, their specific roles, assigned weapons, allocated ammunition quantities, and even records of members who had taken loans from the group.
This discovery highlights ISWAP’s bureaucratic approach to organizing operations and managing resources, including financial transactions among fighters—some of which may now remain uncollected following the militants’ d£aths in the recent clash.
The find comes amid reports of Nigerian forces under Operation Hadin Kai neutralizing dozens of ISWAP insurgents in the area, further disrupting the group’s activities in the Lake Chad region.
