UNIPA News(Tehran) 09 May 2026: Iran is currently reviewing a recent proposal sent by the United States, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei. The statement was confirmed on Friday by the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim News Agency.
Baghaei stated that Tehran is examining the proposal with “serious attention” and will reach a final decision only after conducting comprehensive internal discussions and evaluations. Although the exact nature of the proposal has not yet been publicly disclosed, analysts believe it may be linked to ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions between the two nations.
At the same time, the Iranian spokesperson strongly condemned the military confrontation that reportedly took place between Iranian and American forces the previous night. He accused Washington of openly violating ceasefire understandings as well as international law, describing the incident as a “provocative act” and a “serious insult to the global legal order.”
Baghaei further warned that Iran’s armed forces are closely monitoring the evolving situation across the region. He emphasized that Tehran is fully prepared to deliver a “decisive and forceful response” to any form of aggression or hostile action.
The remarks reflect the increasingly confrontational tone between Tehran and Washington at a time when the Middle East remains highly volatile. Political observers fear that continued military incidents and diplomatic deadlock could further destabilize the region, potentially drawing other regional actors into a broader conflict.
Despite the harsh rhetoric, Iran’s willingness to continue reviewing the American proposal suggests that diplomatic channels between the two countries have not been completely closed. International analysts now closely await Tehran’s official response, which could significantly influence the future direction of regional security, nuclear negotiations, and broader U.S.–Iran relations.
