GAZA 11 JULY(UNIPA News)-Israeli drones, artillery, naval forces, and armored units carried out multiple military operations across the Gaza Strip on Friday, leaving around 15 Palestinians injured, according to Palestinian medical officials and local sources. The incidents were reported in northern, central, and southern Gaza amid continued allegations of violations of the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025.
In northern Gaza, medical teams at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia said an Israeli combat drone fired toward the hospital courtyard, injuring three Palestinians. Hospital officials also reported that several small explosive devices were dropped near the facility’s maintenance section, wounding three employees working in the guard and maintenance departments. The attacks reportedly caused panic among displaced families sheltering within the hospital compound.
Local sources also reported that Israeli armored vehicles opened fire in the Al-Fallujah area west of Jabalia refugee camp, where a Palestinian woman was reportedly injured.
In Gaza City, residents said Israeli drones fired extensively toward residential areas east of the Tuffah neighborhood, particularly near the area known as the “yellow line,” while Israeli military vehicles advanced into the vicinity. Witnesses reported sustained gunfire that prompted additional displacement among civilians.
In central Gaza, Palestinian medical sources reported several injuries after Israeli forces opened fire east of Al-Bureij refugee camp. Additional injuries were also reported in Nuseirat refugee camp and the nearby town of Mughraqa, where civilians were reportedly struck while moving between displacement sites. Israeli artillery shelling east of Deir Al-Balah also damaged residential structures and tents housing displaced families, according to local reports.
In southern Gaza, the Palestinian Red Crescent said one Palestinian was injured by Israeli fire in the Al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Younis. Heavy gunfire from Israeli armored vehicles was also reported in eastern Khan Younis, while Israeli naval vessels shelled coastal areas near Khan Younis and central Gaza. Artillery strikes additionally targeted areas northwest of Rafah.
Residents in eastern Gaza City reported that Israeli forces demolished several residential buildings inside the “yellow line,” where Israeli troops continue to maintain military positions and impose movement restrictions. Local sources said demolition activities have intensified in recent days, contributing to further displacement.
The Israeli military separately announced that it carried out an airstrike in southern Gaza on Thursday, killing Yahia Sa’id Mohammad Hamdan, whom it identified as a commander in an elite unit of Hamas’ armed wing. According to the military, Hamdan participated in the October 7, 2023 attack near Re’im and had recently been involved in planning operations against Israeli forces and rebuilding Hamas’ military capabilities. These claims could not be independently verified.
According to Palestinian sources, Friday’s incidents followed the deaths of eight Palestinians during Israeli military operations across Gaza the previous day. Journalistic sources in Gaza also reported that Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem survived an apparent assassination attempt after an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle west of Gaza City.
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza stated that Israeli actions since the October 11, 2025 ceasefire have resulted in at least 1,094 deaths, 3,507 injuries, and the recovery of 799 bodies from destroyed buildings. The ministry added that, since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, the cumulative reported death toll has reached at least 73,120 Palestinians, with more than 173,615 people injured.
Separately, United Nations agencies warned that humanitarian conditions for women and pregnant mothers in Gaza have deteriorated significantly. UN officials reported that displaced women in overcrowded shelters are facing acute malnutrition, inadequate prenatal and postnatal healthcare, and severe shortages of medicine, clean water, and sanitation. The agencies said the continued disruption of healthcare services and ongoing displacement have increased the risks of pregnancy-related complications, miscarriages, and preventable maternal and newborn deaths.
