UNIPA News(London) 21 June-Television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed he is in remission following treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer, months after revealing his diagnosis in the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm.

The 66-year-old broadcaster said recent medical tests showed no indication of cancer, attributing his recovery to early detection and timely treatment.

Clarkson’s daughter, Emily Clarkson, shared a black-and-white photograph with her father ahead of Father’s Day in the United Kingdom, accompanied by a message highlighting the importance of prostate cancer awareness and early screening.

In a statement shared on social media, Clarkson urged men to undergo routine checks, describing the process as straightforward and potentially life-saving.

“This is why I have to say to everybody who’s reading this, please, please, go and get checked. It’s not uncomfortable, it’s not undignified. And it’s a no-brainer. I did, and that’s why I’m sitting here talking to you,” he said.

Clarkson revealed his diagnosis during the fifth season finale of Clarkson’s Farm, which documented his treatment journey following the discovery of a malignant tumour in his prostate in May last year. He underwent surgery in August and later experienced complications that required additional hospital treatment.

Speaking about his recovery, Clarkson said an aggressive form of the disease had been detected at an early stage, significantly improving his prognosis.

A follow-up prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test conducted two months ago showed no signs of cancer, leading doctors to confirm that he is now officially in remission.

Clarkson has also confirmed that production is underway for the sixth season of Clarkson’s Farm, ending speculation about the future of the series following his diagnosis.

The presenter said early testing was the primary reason his condition was identified before the cancer could spread, encouraging men, particularly those in higher-risk groups, to seek medical advice and undergo screening.
