UNIPA News (Jakarta). April 1, 2026. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has met with Japanese Emperor Naruhito. They discussed cooperation in energy, economics, and tourism.
Indonesia has secured 400 Billion Rupiah investment deals. Although Indonesia is still experiencing an economic crisis, foreign investors, including Japan, remain interested in investing in tourism due to the charm and magnetism of the regions and natural resources and its human resources.
President Prabowo’s arrival was warmly welcomed with a ceremony at the Akasaka Palace.
President Prabowo Subianto invited Japan to be cooperate in developing nuclear energy.
This invitation to cooperation was conveyed by President Prabowo Subianto before Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in a joint press statement at Akasaka Palace, Tokyo, Japan, on March 31, 2026.
President Prabowo Subianto said “We are also open to cooperation in the field of renewable energy and nuclear energy, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.
In addition, President Prabowo Subianto invited Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to Indonesia. We will warmly welcome her.
He emphasized that Indonesia accepts cooperation in the field of economics. We also invite Japan to join us in the field of collaborative cooperatives in all fields including tourism and education.
Hopefully, cooperation between Indonesia and Japan can support the economy and education in both countries.
