​The United States continues to exert pressure on Iran by maintaining two aircraft carriers in the region, despite recent rotations of naval assets.

​The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) has arrived to take over operations, while the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) remains deployed under the command of the Fifth Fleet.

​This sustained presence underscores ongoing efforts to monitor and secure the Strait of Hormuz amidst escalating tensions. At the height of the standoff, three aircraft carriers were positioned in the region; although that number has since been reduced, the current deployment continues to demonstrate a formidable deterrent capability.
