UNIPA News, Kyiv,12 July-Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces said their units struck 90 vessels belonging to what Kyiv describes as Russia’s “shadow fleet” between July 6 and July 13, targeting ships allegedly used to transport fuel and support Russian military logistics.
According to the Ukrainian military, the latest operation took place during the night of July 12, when drone operators targeted vessels operating in the Sea of Azov and near the Kerch Strait.
Ukraine said 10 tankers and one ferry were struck in the Sea of Azov during the operation. The strikes were reportedly carried out by operators from the 9th Kairos Battalion of the 414th Brigade, the 1st Center, and the 412th Nemesis Regiment.
The military also reported that three additional ferries were struck near Kerch in Russian-occupied Crimea by operators from the 413th Raid Regiment.
Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces stated that the targeted vessels were being used to transport fuel, military cargo, and logistical supplies for Russian forces operating through the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait.
The military said the week-long campaign was aimed at disrupting Russia’s military supply network and limiting the use of vessels that Ukraine says are helping Moscow bypass international sanctions.
The claims have not been independently verified, and Russian authorities had not publicly commented on the reported strikes at the time of publication.
